The purpose of the study is to identify features of comparison of game situations by hockey players of different qualifications when throwing the puck in the neutral zone. Research methods. Analysis of scientific and methodological literature, analysis of video materials of competitive activities of hockey players of various qualifications, testing. The article analyzes the tactical and technical actions of hockey players of various qualifications at the throw-in points in the neutral zone, related to the solution of tactical tasks to study the patterns of gaming competitive activity. It has been determined that when considering game situations from the perspective of a differentiated approach, the component involving cause-and-effect relationships is excluded, which negatively affects the analysis and planning of motor training of hockey players of various qualifications. Conclusions. The results of a study of the systematization of game situations by hockey players show that the time spent discussing game situations of various types leads to an increase in the growth of athletes. It was revealed that the indicators depend on the type of situation being solved. As the complexity of game situations increases and age decreases, the time spent on developing solutions increases. It has also been determined that the quality of systematization of game situations is largely determined by the age of the hockey players and the static structure of the game situation (type)
