The article discusses the psychological and pedagogical determinants that determine the participation of children aged 6-7 years of all health groups in joint play and competitive activities: differentiation of the content in motor tasks, which determines the availability of motor actions for children, all health groups, taking into account indications and contraindications; developing potential of sports and cognitive quest games, which allows updating knowledge and developing mental operations in the establishment of interdisciplinary connections based on intellectual and cognitive, competitive and gaming activities; the establishment of rules of sports and cognitive quest games in accordance with sports etiquette, which determines the formation of social norms and rules of human behavior in society. The expediency and relevance of the development of methods for improving physical fitness and the formation of skills of cooperation in children aged 6-7 years on the basis of play and competitive activities is emphasized
