SYSTEMATIZATION OF PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGICAL CRITERIA IN THE METHODOLOGY OF SELECTION OF SPORTS-GIFTED CHILDREN

Abstract:
The methodology of the selection system for sports gifted children should be based on a system of criteria that reflect the full "functionality" of the readiness of highly qualified athletes. Purpose of the study: systematization of psychophysiological criteria for children's gift to sports activities in the process of many years of preparation. Methodology and organization of the study: analysis of literature sources on the problem of the study; pedagogical observation; interviewing, psychophysiological testing, methods of mathematical statistics. Research results and conclusions. The scientific substantiation of the complex of psychophysiological criteria, systematized in a certain sequence, is proposed. Four groups of criteria have been formed: universal, unique, special, specialized. Based on the results of the diagnosis of the criteria of the universal group, a general conclusion is given about the possibilities for the orientation of children to sports activities. The data of diagnosing children according to a "unique" group of criteria determine the recommended directions of sports. The significant criteria of the "special" group correlate with the prediction of the success of children in certain sports. The criteria of "specialized" are about the predisposition of children to specific sports disciplines. The use of systematization of psychophysiological criteria in the specified algorithmic sequence, taking into account one of the main pedagogical principles from general to particular, will allow for timely diagnosis of abilities and more successfully predict the career of sports-gifted children
