This scientific article examines the attitude of young people aged 18 to 35 years to the Russian educational, industrial and defense industries. The article examines the coverage of their activities in the media, as well as factors affecting their popularity and demand among students and specialists associated with these areas. Based on an analytical and theoretical-empirical approach, the article presents an analysis of the results of in-depth interviews, questionnaires and the use of official sources such as WCIOM and Rosstat
