In a rather difficult military-political situation in the world, the role of preparing young men for military service is increasing. Special attention should be paid to the process of physical education of young men of pre-conscription age (16-18 years) studying at the level of secondary general education. In particular, close attention should be paid to increasing the level of their strength training as the fundamental basis of the general physical fitness of a person. That is why it is necessary to pay increased attention to the development of strength abilities, both in the process of physical education of schoolchildren and in other areas of physical culture and sports activities
