The article presents the results of a study of psychological factors that determine the population’s adherence to COVID-19 prevention measures in our country. The study sample consisted of 58 people aged 36-60 years (30 men and 28 women), who had a coronavirus infection of “moderate” severity during the current year and were outpatient treated. Based on the results of a structured interview, the group was divided into two subgroups: “adherent” (26 people) and “non-adherent” (32 people) to measures to prevent coronavirus infection. Methods: structured interview, testing, methods of statistical analysis of differences and relationships. It has been found that individuals who are adhered to COVID-19 prevention measures are more emotionally unstable and sensitive to environmental influences compared to those who are not inclined to comply with prevention measures. They show a higher level of personal anxiety and emotional compliance. They are significantly more likely to choose as a stress-coping strategy a positive rethinking of negative experiences associated with a stressful situation, considering the latter as a stimulus for personal growth. The fact that the identified psychological parameters characterize individuals who adhere to anti-Covid measures may be explained not only by the specifics of the disease, but also partly by the form in which information about the need to adhere to anti-Covid measures is transmitted
