Introduction - the game method is an effective way for the comprehensive development of students in physical education classes. It is aimed at developing not only physical abilities, but also the development of psychological abilities and adaptation in society. Methodology - at a time when students' physical activity fades into the background, the task of the teacher is to interest students in showing physical activity not only in the classroom, but also during extracurricular time. In this case, the use of outdoor games is one of the effective means to achieve the goal. The results obtained - in the course of the study, the high importance of using the game method in physical education classes was revealed. The game method contributes to the comprehensive development of students, as well as motivates them to independent studies. Conclusions -in order to attract students to classes, it is recommended to use a variety of sports and outdoor games, which will allow students to maintain interest in classes
