The article deals with the problem of using hand-to-hand combat skills by employees of the penal enforcement system as an effective means of influencing convicts in the conditions of functioning of regime facilities. The purpose of the study is to determine the most qualitative techniques of hand-to-hand combat and the rules for their use in correctional facilities. The research methods used in the article can include: analysis, synthesis, classification and formalization. The main results of the study should include obtaining a full-fledged idea, analysis, about the actions of the employees of the penal system on the territory of regime facilities when exposed to convicts. The conclusion is the following formulation: the official activity of the employees of the UIS in the modern socio-political situation in Russia places high demands on the functioning of the body, and hand-to-hand combat can have a significant impact on the professional readiness of employees in the conditions of the functioning of regime facilities
