The article discusses the issue of improving the methods of professional training of students in the universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The aim is to study and to generalize the experience of using innovative technologies in the system of physical training of students. In the preparation of the article, the methods of analyzing existing approaches in the scientific and methodological literature on the experimental introduction and practical application of innovations in the training of cadets were used. This topic has a number of scientific developments that are not systemic in nature and do not allow us to reach the level of classifications or generally significant generalizations. As a result of the conducted research, conclusions were drawn about the need to systematize the material on the topic, the development of the theoretical basis and methods of applying new modern technologies in practice
