The article presents the results of the study covering the use of the methodology for modeling the physical training of students in the military educational institution, where its main components were defined as goal-setting, meaningful, organizational, motivational and productive. It was noted that the development of various simulated situations in the course of the study made it possible to better achieve the resistance of the body and psyche systems of the future military radio engineering specialist to the realities of military professional reality, stressful influences, as well as the reliability of functioning in a familiar environment and situations of the extreme nature, which contributes to the preservation of health and professional longevity. It is concluded that the main components of the modeling methodology are goal-setting, meaningful, organizational, motivational and productive, which in the process of implementing the physical training model effectively contributes to the development of modern professionally and socially significant physical qualities and personality traits in cadets, which ensure the successful achievement of the planned competence- oriented educational results directly involved in the formation of the military professional competence of the graduate
