The article is devoted to the comparative analysis of distance learning in Physical Education in Moscow and Saratov higher educational institutions. The study considers the issues of motivation, efficiency and quality of adaptation of online format for the subject under investigation. The study also analyzes various indicators of student satisfaction with online learning in subject Physical Education during the coronavirus pandemic. This is the time when physical education teachers face a difficult task: to find solutions for the implementation of a subject-based educational program in an online format, which should be no less effective and safe (taking into account the specifics of the subject) than the usual form of lesson. The conclusion is based on the research with the use of data from an online and a face-to-face survey of students
