In 2014 Russia began a large-scale implementation of the "Ready for labor and defense" complex with the subsequent control of the effectiveness of implementation and realization, in order to regulate it by means of rating indicators. The purpose of the study - is to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the All-Russian physical culture and sports complex "Ready for labor and defense" in the Siberian federal district on the example of Altai region. The methodology and organization of the study - analysis of literary sources, analysis of the rating in the Siberian federal district for the period from 1 quarter of 2018 to 3 quarter of 2022. Research results and discussion - the analysis of the implementation of the complex in the Siberian federal district, showed that the effectiveness of this implementation in the Altai region is at the lowest level among the other subjects of this district, in the all-Russian rating 72-82 place out of 85 subjects. The main reasons were identified and solutions were proposed. Conclusions - to improve the effectiveness of implementation of the complex in Altai region requires the joint work of ministries and agencies at the level of the Government of Altai region
