The article deals with the organization of the educational and training process in ice hockey within the framework of the training methodology, which has the name the tactical periodization in international sports practice. The use of this methodological theory of training has proved itself positively in the world of sports and pedagogical activities for the organization of the educational and training process in team sports. Tactical periodization is a methodology that is used to train athletes in game sports, taking into account the emphasis on the tactical context of the game and the game model that the team has chosen for itself. Tactical Periodization preaches the integrity of the paradigm of the training process at all stages of the preparation of the sports team, which does not allow an isolated approach to any of the elements of training. Any type of training, based on the methodology of Tactical Periodization, should be integrated into the team's comprehensive training practice and have a tactical intention. The main means for such integration are situational practice and positional group and team work
