Comparative analysis of the kinematic parameters of leg propulsion during forward somersaults from a solid and elastic support
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The purpose of the study is to analyze the kinematics of the take-off phase when performing a forward somersault in a group setting, considering different types of support with varying elasticity. Research methods and organization. The method of motion capture was employed using the three-dimensional hardware system 'Qualisys', which consists of 8 high-speed video cameras and 16 reflective markers placed on the joints of the left and right sides of the subjects' bodies. The study involved two masters of sports in Russia in artistic gymnastics, who performed 5 attempts of forward somersaults from a solid base and from a mini-trampoline. Research results and conclusions. The significant differences identified in the kinematics of joint angular parameters and the rhythmic structure of the take-off phase demonstrate notable variations in the expression of speed-strength abilities when performing forward somersaults on different support surfaces. This, in turn, becomes a prerequisite for selecting training methods for athletes.
