Forecasting the success of competitive activities of players in table tennis during the training and educational stage of sports preparation

Abstract (English):
The purpose of the study – to assess the effectiveness of forecasting the performance of competitive activities based on the specification of success criteria for table tennis players aged 12-14 years. Research methods and organization. To achieve the objective, a comprehensive set of research methods was employed: analysis of specialized literature and program documents, pedagogical observations, surveys, a confirmatory experiment, and methods of mathematical statistics. The research was conducted in St. Petersburg with the participation of students from Sports School No. 2 of the Vasileostrovsky District and St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution of Additional Education Sports School of Olympic Reserve "Kometa". Research results and conclusions. The obtained results indicate that the use of specified criteria for the success of athletes in table tennis by coaches enhances the accuracy of predictive analysis of players' competitive activities.
