The purpose of the study is to identify the features of psychological preparation for competitive activities among boxers aged 18-19. Research methods and organization. The study involved 11 boxers aged 18-19 from the state autonomous institution for additional education of the Primorsky Krai "Regional Sports School of Olympic Reserve" (city of Vladivostok). The methods employed in the research included pedagogical experiments, testing the level of psychological readiness, and mathematical processing of the results. To determine the level of psychological readiness of the boxers, the "KOMPAS" method was utilized: "Categorical assessment of the mental toughness and adaptability of the athlete." Research results. The analysis of the study results allowed for the diagnosis of the components of psychological readiness in junior boxers. The complex of measures for psychological preparation of boxers for competitions proposed based on this research enabled the correction of their psychological state, the management of negative effects of stress, and the formation of adaptive coping behaviors, thereby creating a foundation for successful adaptation to the competitive environment and achieving high results in sports.
