The purpose of the study is to examine the characteristics of psychological readiness for parenthood among students of a pedagogical university. Research methods: analysis and synthesis of scientific psychological and pedagogical literature, pedagogical experiment (confirmatory stage), surveying. Research results and conclusions. Insufficient psychological readiness for parenthood has been identified among students of pedagogical universities. The results obtained indicate the need for the establishment of a targeted preparation system for future social educators and educational psychologists for parenthood within the framework of professional training at pedagogical universities.
