The article defines the types of formations during the execution of various components of competitive routines, the significance of individual criteria in assessing the accuracy of the formations, and the number of violations in formations permitted by gymnasts in group exercises. The purpose of the study is to determine the ways to improve the performance skill of female athletes, taking into account the specifics of the influence of attention properties on the accuracy of executing formations in group exercises of rhythmic gymnastics. Research methods: analysis of specialized literature and program documents, pedagogical observations, surveys, expert evaluation, methods of mathematical statistics. Research results and conclusions. The reasons for the lack of necessary quality in the execution of various components of competitive programs have been identified, among which the primary reason is the insufficient development of attention properties. The necessity of developing specific attention properties has been substantiated by establishing statistically significant correlations between them and the accuracy of executing formations within the structure of the "Difficulty" components in group exercises of rhythmic gymnastics.
