The purpose of the study is to scientifically substantiate the methodology for improving group and team technical-tactical actions of defensive players in football. Research methods and organization. The pedagogical experiment was conducted under natural conditions for football players over a period of 6 months at the sports facility of FC "Kosmos" in Dolgoprudny, Moscow Region. To ensure group homogeneity, a random sampling method and initial assessments of technical and tactical preparedness were used. Quantitatively, both the control and experimental groups consisted of 10 athletes each. Football players in the experimental group trained using the proposed experimental tools and training methods, while the control group trained according to the training plan of the FC "Kosmos" football academy. To assess the initial level of preparedness, the expert evaluation method was applied, which included collective ball selection, compact positioning, and creating an artificial offside situation. Each of the aforementioned criteria was evaluated by 5 experts on a scale from 1 to 10 points. Research results and conclusions. The training program for the experimental group included scenarios of technical-tactical and tactical training within the training process, namely the necessary forms, means, methods, and focus of collective ball selection (pressing), creating artificial offside situations considering different opponent attack options, maintaining compact positioning while preserving the playing distance between defending players, as well as reorganizations in various areas of the football field with personal marking of opponents in zonal and vice versa. Evidence of the effectiveness of the applied method for improving group and team technical-tactical actions of defensive players is provided by the analysis of expert evaluations, which indicates positive qualitative changes in the technical-tactical preparedness of the players in the experimental group.
