Justification of teaching situational ball-passing techniques to pivot handball players aged 17 to 22
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The purpose of the study is to provide a scientific and theoretical justification for training the situational technique of passing the ball to a pivot player among handball players aged 17 to 22. Research methods and organization. Pedagogical observations and video analysis of the matches from the final stage of the XXVI Men's World Championship, as well as the Championships of Russia among juniors under 22, boys under 19, and under 17 years old, have been conducted. Research results and conclusions. It has been established that handball players under 22 years old interact with the pivot player significantly less frequently and effectively compared to men. Their passes are characterized by directness and uniformity, leading to frequent ball losses. The identified critical gap does not indicate a natural lag but rather a systemic shortcoming in training. It has been determined that teaching situational passing techniques to the pivot player should begin at the junior stage (up to 22 years old), when the intensity of defensive opposition creates conditions for the emergence of key game situations of 2*2.
