Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The study examines the challenges related to enhancing the efficiency of purposeful interventions aimed at developing coordination skills in preschool children with intellectual disabilities within the framework of adaptive physical education. Research objective: rationale for the effectiveness of a technique that contributes to the development of coordination skills in preschoolers with delayed mental development. The effectiveness of the development of coordination abilities was assessed by indicators of kinesthetic ability, ability to maintain static equilibrium, orientation in space based on proprioceptive sensitivity, ability to differentiate and rapid response. As part of the experimental methodology, the following pedagogical influences were used: morning gymnastics, adaptive physical education, dynamic motor pauses, exercises on the Bilgoe board, and wellness classes. The effectiveness of the proposed method was expressed in the improvement of static coordination indicators for the Romberg test, for indicators that reveal the ability to orient in space according to the slalom running and ball throwing tests, an increase in kinesthetic ability indicators. Practical studies confirmed the need and importance of this technique, contributing to progress in improving the coordination of movements in children and for their successful adaptation.
