The article substantiates the possibility of competitiveness and efficiency of small businesses in the sports industry, using the example of the experience of the development of commercial dance schools. The sphere of physical culture and sports, at the present stage of economic development in Russia, faces many problems: economic sanctions of unfriendly countries, post-pandemic crisis phenomena in the economy, difficulties in the development of the domestic market, high tax burden, high cost of rent, internal competition, online format of classes, which attracted some of the clientele. The purpose and objective of the study was to analyze the existing opportunity to strengthen positions in the sports industry market and implement a commercial plan using the example of dance schools. The necessity of attracting resources for the development of professional and amateur dance trends to popularize and attract the attention of the population to this type of motor activity is substantiated.
