The article presents a study on the development and substantiation of an innovative methodology for improving the key qualities for sprint running - speed and speed endurance. The position has been confirmed that the implementation of training loads of equal volume for the development of speed and speed endurance with their different application and distribution in classes can influence the progress of sports results of young short-distance runners
