Diagnostics of functional health of technical university students according to cardiac rhythm indicators
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
Adaptation of students to the new conditions that they encounter in a higher educational institution is accompanied by great tension in compensatory and adaptive systems. This often leads to deterioration in their health. The purpose of our study was to study the characteristics of the functional readiness of 1st-3rd year students of technical universities, based on heart rate indicators. All four types of regulation of the functional state of health have been identified. Students of all three courses show a pronounced predominance of the sympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system. The predominance of the central circuit of heart rate regulation over the autonomous circuit is due to disruption of the sinus node, which entails deterioration in the health of students. In third-year students, a fourth type of regulation was identified, which characterizes a breakdown in the body’s adaptation, which is primarily associated with psychosomatic overload. Translating part of the practical classes in the third year into the form of independent work does not contribute to improving their functional health.
