The article considers the issues of coordination development as one of the main professional and applied qualities of students of the Institute of Design, Economics and Service (IDES) of a technical university. The purpose of the study is to describe the experience of developing coordination among students of 1-2 courses of Omsk State Technical University. Appropriate sets of exercises and badminton competitions are presented as means of developing coordination. The results of the students' testing showed positive dynamics, which indicates the effectiveness of the experience of developing coordination.
