Taking into account the stress resistance and anxiety level of first-year students in the process of physical education
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The article examines the mental state of first-year students during the period of adaptation at the university and the possibility of its regulation by means of physical education. The methods proposed by C.D. Spielberger (adapted by Yu.L. Khanin) were used to determine the level of situational and personal anxiety, as well as a stress tolerance test developed by Yu.V. Shcherbatykh. The correlation dependence of the obtained results is determined. Based on the results of the students' testing, it was revealed that girls are more sensitive to stress than boys, who demonstrate better resistance to stress factors. Physical activity is considered one of the ways to minimize the impact of stress during the period of adaptation at the university, since it not only relieves tension, but also prevents its negative effects. For a more "targeted" effect of physical exercises on the mental state of students, it is important to take into account the individual characteristics of students, choosing complexes that will have a stimulating or calming effect.
