The article considers the factors and approaches to the analysis of maximum oxygen consumption as an indicator of the functional fitness of skiers-riders. An approach to estimating the relative maximum consumption, its model values and levels for estimating the aerobic energy supply of athletes of different ages is proposed, on the example of skiers-racers 15-22 years old. The possibility of predicting the results of functional training was considered.
