Age-related dynamics of sports performance in alpine skiing
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The purpose of the study is to analyze the age-related dynamics of athletic performance in slalom and giant slalom disciplines among men and women based on data from RUS points. Research methods and organization. Statistical methods of data analysis (descriptive statistics, non-parametric tests) were applied using proprietary software development. Data from the basic lists of the RFGS for the years 2012-2025 were processed. Research results and conclusions. A U-shaped dependence of performance on age has been established, with a peak at 25-30 years. Gender differences have been identified: in women, the performance peak occurs later (27-30 years), and the decline in results is more gradual. Disciplinary characteristics have been observed: in giant slalom, athletes maintain high performance levels for a longer period. The obtained data can be used to optimize the planning of athletic careers and training processes.
