The article presents a study on the problem of organizing physical education of students of the special medical group in the university. It is not possible to solve the main tasks of physical education without understanding the process of organizing physical preparation, the content of the teaching material, the peculiarities of using physical culture tools and completing medical groups in practical classes. All of the above determines the need to analyze the theoretical aspects of the formation and implementation of the tasks of physical education of SMG students. The authors have established the main criteria for the full-fledged organization of classes in the SMG, the change in the content of the program can be associated exclusively with contraindications associated with the nosological form. The objective of the student's work should be to improve his physical condition, and the criterion for dosing physical activity should be the overall performance of the student's body.
