Current and potential style of competitive confrontation among junior female sambo players (U20)
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The article discusses the characteristic features of competitive activity among Russian female junior sambo wrestlers (U20), identified by the results of the analysis of wrestling bouts at the Russian Championship 2024 (Kazan, February 13-17). A comparison is made between the competitive activity profile and the style of match conduct by representatives of European and global youth sports. The conclusion is drawn about the need to rationalize the composition and structure of techniques and combinations among Russian female sambo wrestlers, transitioning from an intensive combat mode in the center of the mat to a situational-dynamic and combination maneuvering mode with good execution of techniques in a limited space, often near the edge of the mat, which is characteristic of young athletes of international class.
