Functional training for the balance of strengths and weaknesses of the body in increasing the reliability of basketball players in competitions
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The article presents a study to assess the indicators of physical fitness in college basketball players after 14 weeks of functional training. Functional training emphasizes the full functional chain and movement pattern training and has unique characteristics, complementing traditional strength training, focusing on the training process and emphasizing the development of movement patterns. The study used field training, data collection, and quantitative analysis to identify the potential role of functional training in improving the reliability of basketball players. The role of functional training in improving the indicators of physical fitness is determined, due to the combined effect of exercises on the weak and strong sides of the athlete's body. The results of the implementation of the experimental technique of the 14-week scientific experiment led to positive results in balancing the development of their abilities on the strong and weak sides of the body. It has been established that systematic functional training can help basketball players achieve a better balance between the strengths and weaknesses of the body and avoid sports injuries caused by differences in strength or flexibility. With an equal distribution of strength and balance on the left and right sides of the body, athletes will perform motor actions more smoothly and accurately, improving athletic performance and increasing the reliability of the athlete in competitions.
