Abstract (English):
The article presents a study on the issues of professional self-determination of medical college students to protect their own health and the health of patients in the conditions of professional activity. The value-semantic self-determination of the patient's health care in the process of professional activity and the degree of acceptance of sanological thinking were determined using the test "Life Sense Orientations" (SOE) "Purpose in life" test. To assess the development of strategic thinking among students, a competition for the best essay on «My Future in the Profession» was conducted. As part of the research, the hierarchy of life and professional values of the participants was identified.
