The article deals with the effectiveness of using an electronic information and educational environment on the Moodle platform in the educational process of the creative higher educational institution St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television (SPUFT) for first-year students in the basic theoretical “Physical Culture and Sport” course. Special attention is paid to the objectification of system for monitoring the current and final academic performance of students at this course. High academic performance (96.7 %) was revealed following the implementation of the Moodle new version in the 2023/2024 academic year.
