Features of psychological adaptation of students to the conditions of studying at the university

Abstract (English):
The article presents a study on determining the features of psychological adaptation of first-year university students to the learning conditions. Levels of situational and personal anxiety, emotional intelligence, basic coping strategies, and main motives for studying at the university were assessed. It was found that male first-year students are significantly less anxious than female students. Gender differences in the development of emotional intelligence components were also identified.
