Dynamics of physical fitness of female students of the "Special psychology" training profile
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The article discusses issues related to assessing the level of physical fitness of female students. The study was conducted by the department of physical education at Chechen State Pedagogical University. The aim of the research was to justify and determine the level of physical fitness of female students for the analysis and decision-making regarding teaching quality improvement. The study involved 52 full-time female students majoring in "Special Psychology" from the 1st and 3rd courses. It was found that the lack of systematic and regular physical education among high school students, due to preparation for the Unified State Exam, negatively affects their functional readiness to meet the requirements of the GTO complex at the university. The analysis of research results revealed a positive trend in the increase of physical fitness level from the first to the third year. According to the authors, in higher education, teachers are addressing the shortcomings identified in the school system: proper and competent study of techniques, high demands for discipline, and the development of physical culture in individuals.
