The article presents a study on identifying the current state and peculiarities of training processes in cross-country skiing in China and Russia, with the aim of exchanging scientific and practical experience between the countries in this field. Through comparative analysis, the specific features of the development and methods of preparing skiers-racers in PRC and Russia were examined. In the course of the analysis, significant differences in methodological approaches to the construction of the training process in cross-country skiing in these countries were revealed. In addition to these differences, common characteristics were also identified, and existing difficulties and problems in this area of sports activity were analyzed.
