The article presents the results of implementing the "Tactical Reader" application into the training process of beginner-level sambo athletes. In earlier studies, this application was tested on more experienced sambo athletes and demonstrated its effectiveness in improving their technical and tactical preparedness. In the current study, sambo athletes who had just enrolled in the sports school and lacked competitive experience, as well as a wide range of motor skills and abilities, participated as subjects. During the academic year, sambo wrestlers had to learn four basic technical actions in standing wrestling. The coaching and teaching staff showed the sambo wrestlers of the experimental group video recordings with text and graphic analysis of erroneous actions of performing motor actions, digitized through the "Tactical reader" application. It was established that the application allowed novice sambo wrestlers to more effectively master the technical actions stated in the sports training program.
