Abstract (English):
The article reveals the importance of the activities of Professor V.U. Ageevets in the development of Olympic education, the dissemination of ideas and values of the philosophy of Olympism. The main periods of his activity and his contribution to the development of Olympic education are defined. An interview survey of well-known figures in the world of science and sports allowed for gathering new interesting information about the personality and work of V.U. Ageevets. The results of the ascertaining study aimed at studying the degree of awareness of students of the University of Physical Culture about the scientific heritage of Professor V.U. Ageevets are presented, the ways of scientific and educational work with students are developed.
