Gender differences in assessing the significance of the subject "swimming" among students of physical education universities

Abstract (English):
The authors of the article have established that among the six basic sports included in the curriculum, swimming is of utmost importance for both male and female students of the physical education university. Gender differences mainly manifest in the assessment of the impact of swimming on the development of fundamental physical qualities. It has been confirmed that the formation of swimming skills and the ability to provide first aid to an injured person on the water is important for future coaches. These skills increased from 25% to 66% for girls and doubled for boys by the end of the swimming course.
