The article discusses the significance of integrating adaptive physical education and sports into the continuous professional education system for military medical personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. It emphasizes the need to improve the professional competencies of medical specialists in the field of rehabilitation and habilitation for service members with limited health capabilities. An analysis of educational programs implemented at the S.M. Kirov Military Medical Academy shows that incorporating disciplines related to adaptive physical education and sports into the curriculum for students in secondary and higher professional education, as well as developing qualification enhancement programs for current specialists, is a practical and relevant solution driven by the specific needs of the medical service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. It is noted that the introduction of questions related to adaptive physical education and sports into the training of scientific, pedagogical, and managerial personnel will contribute to the creation of a highly qualified environment for conducting scientific research and developing innovative methods in the field of rehabilitation.
