The formation of development trends in the field of physical culture theory was made possible due to the disclosure of a number of characteristics that are characteristic of the provisions on which the fundamental methodological knowledge is based. These characteristics have a dark connection with the construction of the designated knowledge, make it possible to reach the basic culture-like approaches that have become the result of successive transformations of the content of the concept of "physical culture" and the development of conceptual and methodological foundations. The purpose of the study: to identify the features of the development of theoretical knowledge of the modern theory of physical culture.
