Currently, a socially conditioned request has been formed for training in the higher education system not only a specialist, but also a socially active subject of professional activity and life in general. In this regard, in the course of studying at the university, it is necessary to create favorable conditions for the development of a socially active position among young people. At the same time, it is known that not all students are involved in socially active interaction in the conditions created for them, and, in particular, this may be due to their biopsychic parameters. The purpose of the study is a theoretical substantiation and empirical verification of the relationship between biopsychic parameters and social activity of students, using theoretical, empirical and statistical methods. The experiment was attended by subjects-participants of the general university competition in 2020, 2021 and 2022, with a total number of n=61. The analysis of the experimental results showed that the largest number of socially active students had a combination of choleric and sanguine, as well as sanguine and phlegmatic temperaments, the presence of a high positive correlation (p 0.0001) between indicators of social activity and choleric temperament, a negative close correlation (p 0.0001) of social activity with indicators of phlegmatic temperament
