Currently, there is an increase in the number of sick people with pathology of the endocrine system, which is associated with a number of reasons. Thyroid diseases, along with diabetes and obesity, are among the most common diseases. Clinically, they are manifested by hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism and lead to various disorders of almost all functions of the human body. It is possible to solve the problems of recovery and recovery using various methods and means of treatment, including health-improving physical culture (OPC). The article is based on the results of a study conducted by the Center for Physical Culture and Health of the St. Petersburg Chemical and Pharmaceutical University (Center), on the effect of OFC on the health of students with a history of thyroid disease and in the development of a methodology for the use of physical exercises in this disease. As a result of the study, a comprehensive program of physical training for thyroid gland diseases with a duration of 5 months has been developed. Indicators of the adequacy of physical activity during its implementation were determined and analyzed. The study made it possible to conclude that systematic PE classes significantly increase the overall adaptive capacity of students with impaired thyroid function and contribute to an increase in the clinical effectiveness of their treatment
