The effectiveness of performing combat fighting techniques depends on the ability to take into account the basic parameters of movement in changing conditions. These include spatial, temporal and power components, which are represented in unity in the human psychomotor system. When performing motor actions, athletes control the process, while relying on sensations and perception. It is noted that during movement control it is necessary for students to involve a greater number of psychomotor aspects. In the future, this will affect the effectiveness of performing a motor action. In this regard, it can be assumed that training in combat techniques of wrestling cadets who have been engaged in various sports will be faster and more effective than cadets who have not previously engaged in sports activities. The purpose of the study is to study the abilities of cadets with different levels of physical fitness to master the technique of fighting techniques of wrestling. To confirm this assumption, a study was organized. It was attended by cadets of the Belgorod Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia named after I.D. Putilin. Among the cadets, 4 groups with a total number of more than 50 were allocated. It is safe to say that sports have a positive effect on the ability to learn new motor actions. So well-trained cadets have a highly developed sense of time, this is clearly seen in cadets engaged in cyclical sports. The sense of space and effort are vividly demonstrated by the cadets who were engaged in game sports and martial arts. The analysis of the assessments of the possession of combat techniques of wrestling shows that the highest score in the group with cadets who were engaged in game sports and martial arts
