Introduction. One of the relatively new sports for the educational process is laser tag. This is a good means of physical education of students, the use of which will have a positive impact on physical fitness and interest in physical education and sports. The purpose of the study: to empirically substantiate the introduction of the laser tag game as a means of physical education of students at the BSTU "Voenmeh" named after D.F. Ustinov. Organization of research. In February, sectional laser tag classes were organized for students at the BSTU "Voenmeh" named after D.F. Ustinov. For 4 months, various indicators were evaluated: attendance of sectional classes, attendance of training sessions, level of physical fitness, well-being, attitude to physical culture and sports. The results of the study and their discussion. The indicators demonstrate the high popularity of laser tag among students in comparison with other sports (attracting more than 100 people); 100% of respondents are ready to recommend this sport to their friends; 65% noted an improvement in well-being; laser tag classes help to increase the level of physical fitness (p<0.05). Conclusion. The introduction of laser tag games into the educational process, as a means of physical education of university students, is empirically justified.
