The relevance of the study is due to the need to solve the problem of physical self-education of future employees of the penal system. To date, there is a problem of organizing independent physical exercises in educational organizations of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, this is primarily due to the lack of free time of cadets, as well as insufficient methodological support. This problem should be solved comprehensively, a competent approach is needed to develop methodological support for independent physical exercises, as well as the participation of the administrative resource of the educational organization. It should be noted that 50-55% of the total time budget is allocated for independent work by curricula. This time is given to cadets to prepare for all types of classes, including independent physical exercises, which without competent, skillful organization cannot be useful, and in some cases can cause harm. The work solved the problem of methodological support for the organization of independent physical exercises, to improve the quality of the educational process in the framework of physical culture and sports, as well as physical self-education of future employees of the penal system.
