The values of modem teenagers are currently formed under the influence of various factors, the key of which is the Internet. The purpose of the article is to analyze the results of studies of the last ten years, to identify how the Internet affects the formation of values of modern adolescents. As a result of the analysis and generalization of theoretical and empirical data, it was noted: 1) the values of adolescents have not changed, but they are being transformed against the backdrop of a decrease in the role of family and school and an increase in the importance of the Internet, which violates the mechanism of intergenerational transmission of traditional values, since it actively imposes the values of Internet culture and thereby provokes the risk of a conflict between the virtual personality and the social environment; 2) the Internet creates space for self-presentation, communication, education of adolescents, but the high intensity of communication, social activity there leads to an increase in the importance of status values, material well-being, hedonistic and individualistic values and a decrease in the desire for self-realization, the importance of moral qualities in life, therefore the Internet is recognized domestic scientists more often a negative factor of socialization.
