The relevance of the work was to determine the objective and subjective methods of control and recovery of the psychophysical state, trained to manage the training load. The purpose of the study is to identify the most effective methods of complex control of the psychophysical state for managing the physical load of beginner skiers and to determine the optimal content of restorative activities, daily regimen and nutrition during short-term training camps in the middle mountains. The studies used theoretical analysis and generalization, pedagogical observation, survey, testing, pedagogical experiment, statistical processing of results. A three-week training camp was held at the Azish-Tau ski base (Republic of Adygea) with the participation of 48 students of the Kuban State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism with various sports specializations, divided into four groups with equivalent average indicators, but with different organization of recreational activities, daily routine , nutrition and control of the psychophysical state. As a result of the research, the most effective set of measures has been identified that affects acclimatization to mid-altitude mountains, the adaptation of the body of those involved in physical activity and the ability to quickly make adjustments to the use of adequate means, methods, volumes, intensity and rest time both in daily training and in microcycles. The main elements of the complex are hardening, breathing exercises according to the Wim Hof method, hydrothermal procedures, mobilizing psycho-regulatory training, daytime sleep, four meals a day, control tests performed both daily and weekly. The interdependence of the test results with the applied restorative measures, daily routine and nutrition predetermined the percentage increase in the average statistical indicators of the training effect obtained at the end of the training session, namely, the Stange test - 27.9% (P<0.05), Genchi - 15.19%, orthostatic test - 16.57% (P<0.05), Harvard step test index - 19.31% (P<0.05), Well-being activity mood test - 15.87% (P<0.05) and in the control race -14.1%;
