Research methods: analysis of scientific literature and regulatory documents, survey in the form of questionnaires, methods of mathematical statistics. Research results and conclusions. The authors have formulated directions for the use of AI in the educational process as a means of developing the intellectual and research potential of students. It is noted that students are engaged with AI technologies and actively apply generative technologies in the learning process. Today, one of the main tasks of higher education is to create conditions for the effective integration of AI technologies with proven academic methods, as well as to regulate the use of digital technologies in the educational process.
