The article analyzes and forms the problem of reducing the motor activity of younger students. The purpose of the article is to identify and substantiate the features of increasing the motor activity of schoolchildren by improving the learning process at physical education lessons in small-scale rural schools, to describe a new approach to the organization of physical education of schoolchildren, taking into account the regional specifics of the physical education of children, the material and technical base of the school, natural and climatic conditions their places of residence and national characteristics of students. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of using the developed system of measures aimed at increasing the motor activity of primary school students in educational institutions. The article highlights a variety of motor skills acquired by schoolchildren in the process of physical exercise, aimed at increasing the level of general physical fitness
